1. These Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) were granted pursuant to the Amgen Inc. Second Amended and Restated 2009 Equity Incentive Plan (the Equity Incentive Plan) and vest in four equal annual installments of 25% each, commencing on 8/7/2027. Vested RSUs will be paid in shares of the Company's common stock on a one-to-one basis.
2. These non-qualified stock options were granted pursuant to the Equity Incentive Plan and vest and are exercisable in four equal annual installments of 25% each, commencing on 8/7/2027.

constitutes and appoints each of Andrea A. Robinson and Dennis Yai,
signing singly, the undersigned's true and lawful attorney-in-fact to
execute for and on behalf of the undersigned Forms 3, 4 and 5 in
accordance with Section 16(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934,
as amended, and the rules thereunder, as may be required as a result
of the undersigned's position as an officer and/or director of Amgen Inc.
(the "Company"), and to take any actions necessary or appropriate to enable
the submission of such Forms to the Securities and Exchange Commission and
to obtain, maintain or update EDGAR access for the undersigned, including
preparing, executing and submitting a Form ID and related documents or
information and acting as an account administrator for the undersigned?s
EDGAR account (the ?related EDGAR actions?).
