    Martin VanTrieste is senior vice president, Quality, responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Compliance, Operational Excellence, and Environment, Health and Safety along with Training.

    Prior to Amgen, VanTrieste was with Bayer HealthCare’s Biological Products Division as vice president of Worldwide Quality and Abbott Laboratories as the vice president of Quality Assurance for the Hospital Products Division. While at Abbott, VanTrieste held various positions in Quality, Operations, and Research and Development.

    VanTrieste is a member of the board of directors of the Parenteral Drug Associations (PDA). He is the founder and first chairman of Rx-360 and is currently on its board of directors. Rx-360 is a nonprofit international supply chain organization that aims to enhance patient safety by increasing the security and quality of all parts of the supply chain.

    VanTrieste holds a Pharmacy degree from Temple University School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia.

    Stuart A. Tross

      Stuart A. Tross joined Amgen in 2006 and was named senior vice president, Human Resources, in October 2013. Prior to this role, Tross served as vice president, Human Resources, supporting Global Research & Development, and before that position, he was vice president, Human Resources, supporting the president and chief operating officer. His entry role with the company was vice president, Human Resources, supporting Global Commercial Operations and Global Corporate Affairs.

      Prior to Amgen, Tross held three executive positions in human resources over his eight years with Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. His final role at BMS was vice president, Global Human Resources for Mead Johnson Company. Earlier in his career, Tross was a management consultant for Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson).

      Tross has earned PhD and MS degrees in organizational psychology from Georgia Tech, a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Spalding University, and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
